From April 2021 to October 2022, I worked on this title as an Associate Technical Sound Designer at Santa Monica Studio. From October 2022 to early 2023, I supported the title through post-launch bug fixes via patch updates as a Music Designer at PlayStation Studios.
There is so much I could say about my time on this this project, but here are some of the highlights!
Scripted sound effects for the majority of in-game puzzles and interacts, ensuring precise timing and spatial movement to heighten stereo-field clarity.
Collaborated on numerous adaptive music systems and set-pieces, developing technical design solutions to achieve director storytelling goals and enhance player emotional connection.
Streamlined engine-side cinematic audio workflows by designing tools and scripts to automate complex processes, allowing discipline stakeholders to focus on creativity while implementing.
Optimized hundreds of gameplay audio controlling scripts, ensuring they met performance standards for both PS4 and PS5, and were also cleaned up and well-commented.
Addressed several crucial technical music issues across four major patch updates, contributing to the game's final polished state and positive critical musical reception.
